Oh what a summer
I always post things post-partum. Why? Because when you’re doing something that you really love and enjoy, do you actually have time to share it on the social media platforms? I don’t think so. You need to be there, in that moment, fully, soaking in every second of it while it lasts. Because it doesn’t last forever.
I can honestly say that I had the best time this summer. (Did I say it about last summer too? Oops.) It was filled with sleepless nights, because of work or parties, or even both mixed together; music concerts I never though I’ll be able to attend, places I dreamed about visiting. It all became my reality.
New York, Coldplay, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Zion National Park, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Universal Studios, The Weeknd. I can’t even realize what a chronology of things I’ve been through in such a short period of time.
From taking the wrong metro line in New York at 2 AM and going all the way to hotel by foot, arriving an hour later; crying of happiness hearing live in New Jersey your favorite songs like ‘Yellow’, ‘The Scientist’ and ‘Viva la Vida’; dedicating yourself to work non stop even on rainy (that word doesn’t make the weather we were experiencing in Bethany Beach any justice at all) days, coming home wet from head to toes; playing Jenga and beer pong late at night while sipping some homemade cocktails; to taking a flight across the country to another world called ‘West Coast’; breathing in the fresh air of Canyons, Trails and not so fresh of the big cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco; walking through the endless streets of Walk of Fame trying to find the Hollywood sign (we found it!); exploring Vegas with its neverending casinos and Bellagio fountains; riding through the Valley of Fire with a crazy AF smoking weed Vegas driver; wandering at Santa Monica beach during the sunset; eating the most delicious Clam Chowder soup ever; being in a movie world and finding out all of their secrets at Universals; dying hearing live The Weeknd (which was hdjsjuhvpsphsj ahhmazing); spending some quality time with the dearest people and shopping till I drop (which did happen).
Everything that happened to me this summer just proves that you can do whatever you set your mind up to. (Oh hey, rhyme!) You just have to set your goals and work towards them. It truly amazes me how things can work out in your favor during the most random times.
