It’s weird how you finally start doing something (writing) after years of thinking about it. That feeling you get right after you realize that you’re actually writing a freaking blog post like Carrie did in “Sex in the City” that you watched three years ago. Those thoughts you’ve been keeping in your head for so long can finally be written on a platform you registered at so many years ago. Wow.

I’m not sure if it’s the right time to start it since deadlines at my university just get closer and closer each day, but if not now, then when?

It would only be right though to start off by mentioning the oh-so-amazing trip I had last summer that completely blew me away. It all started with a simple thought “It would be cool if I went to states this summer, and there’s a program I can do it with – let’s do it!” and next thing I know – I’m sitting in a chair on an airplane that is 30.000 feet up in the sky.

By working 10+ hours a day you earn for the whole reason why you came here – to travel. To travel the world it requires quite a lot of effort, and when you achieve that milestone you set, the doors are open for you. All you need to do now is to just open them and enjoy.

I was lucky enough to visit some touristy destinations that left my mouth open. It’s that time when you realize that those online pictures you saw are taken by real people and now you can be one of them! (Who would’ve thought?) So, as a result, I took the biggest amount of pictures I’ve ever taken. And now, by looking at them, I can relive those moments in my memory – what a wonderful magic feature they have!

Three and a half months you spend across the ocean tend to change you. Your outlook on a lot of things changes, and you change with it. New people you make friends with, conversations with your boss and other authoritative people that surround you, night walks in the places you’ve never been before and even spontaneous trips to a supermarket at 1:00 AM with $0 for a taxi on a way back home – it all affects you in some kind of a way. In my case – in the most amazing way possible.

It’s needless to say that this year I’m taking a plane back to this country to explore new places and experience new environment. But for now, I’m going to attach some of the favorite photos of mine that I took during this time of my life. (Taken by an old phone with a bad camera quality, but did it really matter in the moment?)
